DUST ‘EM OFF CAR SHOW 2021
Back to the Bricks® was excited to announce their ALL NEW event to their impressive yearly lineup. 2020 brought many challenges, cancellations, and disappointments. But through it all, Back to the Bricks® stayed diligent and worked behind the scenes to plan new events for 2021 that worked with any social distancing guidelines in place.
Car lovers were excited to register and attend this one of a kind, all new event and can’t wait for the next one. It was one of the first opportunities for them to get their cars out, “Dust ‘em Off” so to speak and showcase them for all to see.
Participants first met over at the staging area at our event partner, Ashley Furniture. They received their printed car placard and was directed to the event center. They entered off Lapeer Road.
Participants did not pay to attend, and parking was FREE for their classic car during the event. Gates opened to the Dort Financial Center 7am, and the cars were greeted by our volunteers that handed them a goodie bag.
When registered participants entered they were directed to park. Thanks to our event brought to you by sponsor, Dort Financial Credit Union all registered participants that showcased their car that day received a complimentary Dust ’em Off T-Shirt.
The event started with a blessing of the cars by Pastor Steve Anthony.
The National Anthem was sung by our very own Executive Director Amber Taylor, while Veterans held the flag. Al Jones officially opened the Car Show with small remarks and a HUGE Thank you to all our Sponsors, Partners, Vendors and many, many Volunteers that made this event happen.
Those that registered were eligible to win prizes throughout the event, a California Duster valued at $30. Although this was not a judged event, the turn out was amazing and a great way to start the car show season.
Everyone that signed up acknowledged and agreed to be covered by insurance, practice any and all required Social Distancing Guidelines and Behavior rules to participate.
The amazing trolley from MTA was on hand offering complimentary rides from Ashley Furniture and the VIP Parking lot to the event center.
Everyone got to enjoy classic songs, vendors, food trucks and cars! It was a fun day for all. A special treat was a Swap Meet. This gave our car fans an opportunity to pick up spare parts and unique items.
