The week-long festivities are structured to build on the enthusiasm of all car participants and spectators. Monday’s events to be announced, “Brick Flicks” automotive movie will be on Tuesday, seen at the US 23 Drive-in Theatre, at least two days of Rolling Cruise, a Friday night car show & Cruise “N” Concert, and a Saturday car show downtown.
MONDAY KICKOFF
The festivities began on Monday, August 12th at the Birch Run Speedway. Come enjoy this Cruise N’ Car Show, and kick off Main Event Week Concert. Concessions will be open, with a DJ playing your favorite car cruise tunes before the concert.
BRICKS FLICKS
The six-day extravaganza continues on Tuesday, August 13th with “BRICKS FLICKS, a family-oriented party sponsored by Huntington Bank at the nostalgic US 23 Drive-In theater on Fenton Road. This years featured film is SPEEDRACER from 2008.
ROLLING CRUISE
ROLLING CRUISE begins with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday and a car cruise to Grand Blanc and back. Mega Site on Hemphill and Saginaw. Car buffs have another opportunity to watch or participate in the 2nd Day of the Rolling Cruise on Thursday.
CRUISE N CONCERT
The excitement continues on Friday, August 16th as the Cruise "N" Concert returns to Downtown Flint, with a Party in the streets! This year's opening act is The Gobies, and the headliner Old Days - A Chicago Tribute Band. The Fun begins from 3pm - 9:30pm in DownTown Flint.
OPENING CEREMONY
The Opening Ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 AM on Saturday with a rousing salute to our veterans and active duty personnel. Military Flyover, Veterans Group, and this year, the FIM Brass Quartet will be on hand, offering a beautiful Tribute to our Veterans!
MAIN EVENT SATURDAY
Main Event provides a showcase for classic, custom, and collector vehicles of all kinds. Flint is the birthplace of General Motors, and celebrates with Music, food vendors, special displays, and family-friendly activities to add to the festive atmosphere.
