The mission of Hot Rod High is to offer teen and young adult visitors to Back to the Bricks from across the nation and the world the opportunity to build and tinker with cool cars and hot rods, and in doing so, to not only introduce young people to collector cars as a hobby, but more importantly, in partnership with area high schools, skill centers, community colleges, and universities, to provide a unique opportunity to explore careers in a variety of fields including, but not limited to, auto mechanics, auto-body repair and painting, welding, mechanical and electrical engineering, robotics, and a host of other options through interactive displays and hands-on STEM experiences and projects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), individually or as a team, led by experienced professionals in their respective fields, to pique their interest, to enable them to discover hidden talents, and to provide a solid foundation for future educational and vocational pursuits. If you are interested in supporting Hot Rod High by contributing your time, talent, or assets to this endeavor, please contact Dale Frey for details.
