Back to the Bricks® 2026 Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a rousing salute to our veterans and active-duty personnel. A Color Guard accompanied by some of America’s finest will march from the south on Saginaw Street. At the same time, a procession of flags and military personnel will proceed to the north of the Statue Plaza in the center of downtown Flint, where the two groups will converge.

This special ceremony, honoring America 250, will again feature the FSO Brass Quintet, who honor the men and women of the armed forces for their service and sacrifice to our country. BttB honors those who protect and defend the freedoms we hold dear, past and present, those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and those who continue to answer the call. The program will include live music from the FIM FSO Brass Quintet, an Invocation, and an inspiring performance of our National Anthem, with a Military Flyover.

Back to the Bricks® remains deeply committed to honoring the heroes who protect and defend our freedoms, making the Opening Ceremony a highlight for both patriotic pride and community unity. Once the Opening Salute concludes, the streets of Downtown Flint transform into a celebration of automotive excellence. The Main Display Area will feature thousands of the finest classic cars, custom builds, hot rods, and dream machines, drawing enthusiasts from across the Country.
