Back to the Bricks Gas, Gears & Good Times Promo Tour
The 16th Annual Promo Tour will take place June 5-10, 2026. The tour will travel from Clio Michigan on Friday, June 5th making its way to four different hotel stops, with 4 Evening Car Show opportunities in 6 days.
Each June the Back to the Bricks® Annual Promo Tour provides an opportunity of adventure and camaraderie for hundreds of classic car owners. The six-day tour is designed to do two things: (1) promote all Back to the Bricks® events, especially the August “Main Event” car show held in downtown Flint, Michigan, and (2) showcase each participating city’s unique features and foster economic development.
We have fun organized “Pit-Stops” along the way, where you will get to see the most picturesque cities that are NOT right off the expressway, but the backroads.
What makes the Back to the Bricks® Promo Tour so special and unique, is that it travels on all backroads, and often the top speed is 55 miles per hour. It allows ANY vehicle to travel on the tour. In previous tours, we’ve seen every car from every generation. Model Ts to Rat Rods, Convertibles to Trucks, Camaros to Corvettes, it’s a tour for everyone!

Friday, June 5th: Big Rapids
– KICK OFF will take place in Clio at Circus Park, with a fully catered Breakfast by Creative Catering, and brought to you by Financial Plus Credit Union, and Marc Hoerauf, STATE FARM® INSURANCE AGENT of Fenton MI, offering participants their first opportunity to engage with the group, eat a fantastic meal, and start making memories.
– Breakfast is 8 am – 10 am
– Leave Circus Park at or before 10 am.
– BUSY day of travel and FUN stops, more info to come!!!
– Car Show in Downtown Big Rapids from 4 pm – 8 pm.
– Restaurants & Shops
Saturday, June 6th: FREE DAY OF FUN
– This is a FUN Day with the option to join in on Big Rapids’ Summer Fest featuring a Classic Car Show, with the Promo Tour folks having reserved parking.
– Enjoy the downtown Restaurants and shops for the afternoon
– Optional to stay in Big Rapids for a second night, or travel to Cadillac and prepare for your two-night stay, with visitor bags that give maps and things to do when you check into hotels!
Sunday, June 7th: Cadillac
– Morning activities include Church Service
– Downtown Car Show from 1 pm – 4 pm.
– LOTS of Fun down on Mitchell Street in downtown Cadillac
Monday, June 8th: Gaylord
– We will travel to Gaylord with some optional exciting stops to include a Lunch Stop at Jim Wernig’s Chevrolet dealership in Gaylord.
– The luncheon will be 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. The dealership will be providing drinks, chips, and cookies, and the participants will purchase their own main course from food trucks on the property. Additionally, you can buy ice cream and enjoy a mid-day mini car show, pit stop, before the car show at night!
– Downtown Gaylord Car Show, 4 pm – 8 pm.
– Restaurants & Shopping!
Tuesday, June 9th: Tawas
– Recommended leave time, between 9 am and 10 am.
– Tawas Car Show in the afternoon.
-A small break to get checked into hotels and back to MORE Fun in the evening.
– 6:30 pm Participants will enjoy a FREE Catered Dinner provided by the Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce, in Shoreline Park, with a fantastic band to wrap up the tour.
– Long Haulers Awards Ceremony will take place in Shoreline Park after Dinner.
Wednesday, June 10th:
– Optional pit stops are coming to make your trip home fun!
2026 Promo Tour Packet Pick-Up Details
Pick-up will take place at our office on Saginaw Street in Flint. We’re in the plaza just north of the Hemphill & Saginaw intersection—look for the BttB sign above our colorful doors. (We’re the furthest north in the complex.)

If you prepaid for shipping, your packet will be mailed on Monday, May 25th.
You can also pick it up at the Kick-Off Breakfast on Friday, June 5th, or any day during the tour.
