Back Roads Promo Tour
The 14th Annual Promo Tour will take place June 7-12, 2024. The tour will travel from Flint Michigan on Friday June 7th making it’s way to four different stops in 6 days.
Each June the Back to the Bricks® Annual Promo Tour provides an opportunity of adventure and camaraderie for hundreds of classic car owners. The six-day tour is designed to do two things: (1) promote all Back to the Bricks® events, especially the August “Main Event” car show held in downtown Flint, Michigan, and (2) showcase each participating city’s unique features and foster economic development.
We have fun organized “Pit-Stops” along the way, where you will get to see the most picturesque cities that are NOT right off the expressway, but the backroads.
What makes the Back to the Bricks® Promo Tour so special and unique, is that it travels on all backroads, and often the top speed is 55 miles per hour. It allows ANY vehicle to travel on the tour. In previous tours we’ve seen every car from every generation. Model Ts to Rat Rods, Convertibles to Trucks, Camaros to Corvettes, it’s a tour for everyone.
Details on the Tour:
Friday June 7th: JACKSON
– We will visit the city of Downtown Jackson
KICK OFF at the HUB DMC with a fully catered Breakfast by Creative Catering, sponsored by McDonald’s.
– With stops to Owosso Michigan to visit the Curwood Festival, Inc., Hell Michigan and the Ye Ole Carriage Shop. The Downtown Car Show takes place from 5 pm – 8 pm.
Saturday June 8th: CADILLAC
– FREE DAY OF TRAVEL
– Leave Jackson, for a FREE day of driving. Tons of “Mom and Pops” on the way, taking M66 North, evening activities to do in Downtown Cadillac
Sunday June 9th: Downtown Cadillac
– Morning activities for the car participants, with a Downtown Car Show from 2 pm – 6 pm.
– Optional MONDAY Morning Activity: The The Bandit Run is coming to Cadillac
Monday June 11th: Clare
– Shortest Route, but we are being creative. Pit Stops can occur in Lake City, Falmouth & Harrison, Amish Hardware, Jays Sporting Goods, and General Jim’s Supplies.
– We can’t forget Cops & Doughnuts – Clare City Bakery one of our favorite stops!!!
– Downtown Car Show, 4 pm – 8 pm.
Tuesday June 12th: Port Huron
– Recommended leave time, 8 am. Longest Trip, 194 miles
– Optional Stops at American Gasser Hot Rod Shop, Comets Diner and Frankenmuth for fun, eating and shopping.
– Downtown Port Huron Car Show 4 pm – 8 pm
– Concert after Car Show at 8 pm.
Wednesday: Long Haulers Lunch and stops at 2 Museums! More info to come…
