Each June, the Promo Tour ushers in a summer of cruising and car shows, and offers an opportunity for adventure and camaraderie to hundreds of classic car owners. The six-day tour has a dual purpose: (1) to promote Back to the Bricks®, and generate excitement for the August “Main Event” in downtown Flint, and (2) to showcase the unique features and boost the economy of each of the host cities selected for the Tour.

Thanks to the efforts of Rhonda Rau and her committee, the 10th Anniversary of the Promo Tour proved to be another record-breaking, phenomenal experience as we revisited some of our favorite host cities along with a few new ones. Appropriately christened the “Celebration” Promo Tour in honor of this milestone, the fun began on Friday, June 7, 2019 with a kick-off breakfast at St. John’s Parish Hall in Davison. The itinerary included an overnight stay on June 7th in Clare, and two nights (June 8th and 9th) in Sault Ste. Marie, giving tour participants more time to explore the oldest city in Michigan, and the surrounding area. From the “Soo,” we traveled back to the Lower Peninsula with overnight stops in Gaylord on June 10th and West Branch on June 11. We enjoyed a delicious “End of the Road Luncheon” this year at the brand new Waterfront in Uptown Bay City on June 12, 2019.
